Adolescent Sex Offender Program (Roundtable)
The Roundtable Program is a residential treatment program for adolescent sex offenders, designed for males 12 to 18 years of age. Some youth may stay beyond their 18th birthday under specific circumstances. The program is designed to work with adolescent males who have sexually acted out on others with a length of stay for the program at approximately 12 to 18 months.
River Park provides the following treatment modalities for these adolescents, based on cognitive behavioral therapy practices including:
- Sex Offense Specific Group Therapy
- Social Skills Groups
- Therapeutic Recreation
- On-site education services by a certified West Virginia teacher
- Individual Therapy
- Family Education and Therapy
- Psychiatric/Medical Management.
Referrals can come from any source, but typically are received through DHHR, the court system or the behavioral health system. All referral information is reviewed by the program director to determine admission eligibility. To initiate a referral to the ROAD program, please call (304) 526-9114 or send us an online inquiry. If accepted, it is the referring agency’s responsibility to secure Medicaid or other necessary funding prior to the youth’s placement in the program.
